Good to know

Your questions, answered

What comes with the Multi-stage Fork and Spoon set?

One PPSU fork, one PPSU spoon and one utensil case with a silicone lid, in Taupe. The utensils have removable silicone grips.

When can my child start using the utensils?

Hegen labels them for six months and above. Introduce them with suitable foods and supervision when your child is ready to explore feeding tools.

When should I remove the silicone grips?

Hegen suggests removing the grips for independent eating from around 12 months. Let the child’s grip and coordination guide the change rather than removing them automatically at a fixed age.

Can the case be used as a plate?

Yes. The utensil case container doubles as a plate for small food portions. Clean it as a food-contact item before and after serving.

How is this different from the Infant Spoon?

This set combines a fork and spoon intended to develop with self-feeding skills. The Infant Spoon is a separate flexible silicone spoon with a narrow, shallow head and longer handle for parent-led feeding.

Should I remove the grips before washing?

Remove the silicone grips and separate the case lid so the surfaces underneath can be cleaned. Follow the included utensil instructions for sterilising and temperature limits; rinse away food residue first.
