What is included with the Grey Straw Spout?
One Grey Hegen straw spout with white cap, one upper straw, one lower straw and one seal. The PPSU bottle body is not included.
Which bottles fit the Grey Straw Spout?
It is made to convert Hegen containers into straw cups. Select the lower-straw length for the container you use, following the trimming guide. Use it with the compatible Hegen container system.
Which upper straw should I use with this spout?
Use the upper straw supplied with this spout and choose replacements for the same version. Hegen states that the newer spout and the previous upper-straw version are not compatible.
When is this top useful instead of a feeding collar?
It introduces a different drinking action for a child learning to sip through a straw, with Hegen’s recommended age of nine months and above. The existing container stays in use while the feeding head is replaced.
Can the lower straw be cut for a 150ml or 240ml body?
Yes. The lower straw is designed to be trimmed to suit the chosen Hegen body. Measure against the official size guide before cutting, because a straw shortened for a small bottle will not reach correctly in a taller one.
How do I look after the straw spout and seal?
Take the top apart so the upper straw, lower straw and seal can be cleaned separately. Wash the internal straw channels and the seal groove, then reassemble the parts correctly. Replace silicone parts at signs of wear; Hegen recommends a three-month replacement interval for straws and seals.
Which drinks can I use with this straw spout?
Use non-carbonated drinks below 40°C. Open the cap in two steps and make sure it clicks into its open position for drinking.
