Your questions, answered
What is included in the Manual Breast Pump Kit?
One SoftSqround pump body, one 22mm flange, one manual handle, one manual diaphragm, one valve, one Hegen seal and one 150ml/5oz PPSU Breast Milk Storage container.
How is the manual pump powered?
The manual handle powers this pump, so you can express without charging or a power socket. It is a useful hand-operated option for your feeding routine.
Which flange size comes with the manual kit?
A 22mm SoftSqround flange is included. Fit is individual; other SoftSqround flange sizes are sold separately. Use Hegen’s fitting guidance to choose your size.
Can I store the milk in the container I pump into?
Yes. Remove the pump assembly and fit the storage lid and seal to the same 150ml container. This avoids pouring milk into a second storage bottle.
Which replacement handle should I choose for this kit?
Choose the handle and manual diaphragm specified for the SoftSqround Manual Breast Pump Module and match them to the assembly shown in the kit’s instructions.
How is a manual diaphragm different from the electric eDiaphragm?
The manual diaphragm works with the hand-operated handle. The electric eCap and eDiaphragm form a different assembly. Use the part named for your pumping mode and model.
How do I clean the manual pump after expressing?
Take apart the milk-contact components and wash them promptly with bottle detergent, then rinse and sterilise as instructed in the manual. Clean the valve gently and inspect it for damage during reassembly.
When should I replace the manual diaphragm?
The replacement-part guidance recommends every two to three months depending on use, or as soon as wear is visible. Check fit and condition before pumping; a worn diaphragm can affect operation.
