One bottle, multiple uses
The Hegen baby straw cup is designed for babies aged 9 months and above to encourage natural sucking and the development of oral-motor muscles.
The cup can be converted into different uses with a simple swap of the lids – switch from a straw spout to a storage lid and convert it into a snack container. It's super simple and convenient, perfect for busy parents!
A straw cup that allows for a safe and effortless drinking experience
The two-step safety catch prevents the liquid from spurting, and the click-to-lock catch holds the cap in place while your baby is drinking beverages like milk and water.
It gives you and your child the best hassle-free experience with our baby straw cup and your child can sip on the bottle with ease. It is also why our straw cup is also safe for training 6 to 7 month babies early.

Designed without a bite valve to promote proper sipping technique and effortless drinking
Bite valves inhibit water flow and only open when a child bites, which is a habit that can be hard to break. The Hegen Straw Cup is designed without a bite valve, making it easy for your child to sip with the proper techniques.
Good to know
Your questions, answered
What comes with the Purple 330ml Straw Cup?
A 330ml/11oz PPSU body with the Purple straw spout, its cap, upper straw, lower straw and seal. This is the complete cup, rather than the separate Straw Spout accessory.
What age is the Purple Straw Cup designed for?
Hegen recommends the regular Straw Cup from nine months, when a child is learning to drink through a straw. Readiness varies, so introduce it with supervision and choose for the skill your child is practising.
How does my child drink from the straw?
Your child can sip directly through the straw without biting to open a valve. Introduce it with supervised practice from Hegen’s recommended starting age.
How does the two-step cap help at drinking time?
The first opening step helps release pressure, and the cap then clicks into an open position. Keeping the cap held back gives your child space to sip. Close the cap and secure the spout correctly before carrying the cup.
Which drinks can I use in this straw cup?
Use non-carbonated drinks below 40°C, following the Straw Cup instructions. Open the cap in two steps and secure the spout correctly before carrying the cup.
How should I clean the upper and lower straws?
Remove both straws, the spout and seal. Wash the inside of the straws as well as their ends, using a suitable straw brush, then rinse and allow the parts to dry. Clean the full internal channel as well as the outside.
Can I use the Purple straw top on a smaller Hegen bottle?
Yes. Hegen tops share the bottle system, but the lower straw must be the correct length for the body. Follow the trimming guide and cut the lower straw only; do not trim the shaped upper straw.
Which replacement straws should I choose?
Match the replacement to the version of your straw spout. Hegen states that the newer straw spout is not compatible with the previous upper-straw version. Replace silicone straw parts about every three months or sooner if worn.
How is this different from the All-Rounder Cup?
The Straw Cup teaches sipping through a straw. The All-Rounder uses a silicone disc around the rim for practice with cup-style sipping and is labelled from 12 months. Choose the drinking action and capacity that suit your child’s stage.
